Ep #13 Confidence in pricing and When you Should RAISE prices Part 1
Confidence in pricing and When you Should RAISE prices Part 1!
How do you gain confidence in pricing AND when should you raise your prices? That's what we cover in this episode.
For some artists, it's tough to know HOW MUCH to charge. It's a challenge because art and money is so subjective. I tell about one photographer who DECIDED to only take on jobs that were $10,000 or more. He waited tables UNTIL he got that first $10K client. He's wildly successful now. But not everyone should do that....what you should do is decide what you want.
I give tips on how to get your pricing confidence up AND when it's a good time to raise your prices.
Going against what a lot of people will tell you to do, I suggest that some artists begin with lower prices so they can get momentum, and then raise prices after they start selling a few pieces. This advice works for many things, not just art. Healers and consultants and coaches who are new would do well to start lower as well, just to get clients and build up their confidence and skill level.
